Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Salam Time iOS application and the website at salamtime.app. Salam Time is the service operator and can be reached at support@salamtime.app.

• No Salam Time account is required.
• The app does not display third-party ads.
• Salam Time does not sell personal information.
• Salam Time does not use personal data for cross-app advertising or tracking.
• Most personal worship information stays on the device.

Prayer tracking, deed progress, tasbeeh counts, settings, journal entries, Quran progress, and similar personal preferences may be stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage mechanisms. This information is not intentionally uploaded to Salam Time-operated servers.

Device-level backups may include some app data depending on Apple’s backup behavior, your iCloud or device settings, and iOS. Salam Time cannot guarantee that local data is excluded from every device backup.

Salam Time may request location access while you use the app. Location helps calculate prayer times, determine the Qibla direction, and show an approximate city. Where available, you may choose a manual location instead.

You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. Features that depend on location may then be less precise or unavailable. Apple system location and geocoding services may process location information under Apple’s terms. Salam Time does not use location for advertising or tracking.

Prayer and reminder notifications are scheduled using Apple notification services and settings. Notification preferences are stored locally. You control notification permission through iOS Settings and can adjust relevant reminder choices within Salam Time.

Salam Time may retrieve Quran text, translations, audio metadata, recitations, and hadith content from external content providers. Network requests can expose ordinary technical information—such as an IP address, user-agent information, requested file, and request time—to those providers.

• Quran content from the open Quran API hosted through GitHub or raw GitHub content.
• Quran recitation content and audio through Quran.com and Quran CDN services.
• Hadith content through HadithAPI.com.

These content providers maintain their own privacy practices, terms, and retention policies, which may change independently of Salam Time.

Noor uses an on-device language model. The model file is downloaded from Hugging Face only when you choose to download it. Hugging Face may receive ordinary network request information associated with the download.

After the model is installed, Noor prompts and generated responses are processed locally by your device. Noor conversations are not intentionally sent to Salam Time-operated servers. The model file is stored locally, may use approximately 1.3 GB, and may be removed by deleting the app, subject to iOS storage and backup behavior.

Optional monthly support subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Salam Time receives transaction and entitlement status needed to recognize supporter access. A cached supporter tier may be stored locally.

Salam Time does not receive your full payment card details. Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under Apple’s applicable policies.

The Salam Time website does not intentionally use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those practices are introduced.

The hosting provider may process standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and security-related request information to deliver and protect the website.

Information is shared only as needed with:

• Apple for app distribution, purchases, system services, and notifications.
• Hosting and network infrastructure providers.
• Content providers you directly access through app features.
• Authorities when disclosure is legally required.

Salam Time does not sell personal information.

Local data generally remains until you delete it, reset relevant content, or remove the app, subject to iOS and backup behavior. Third-party providers may retain technical logs according to their own policies.

Salam Time uses reasonable measures intended to protect the information and services within its control. No device, transmission, storage system, or service can guarantee absolute security.

Salam Time is not specifically directed to children. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use, especially AI-generated content and purchases, and should use available Apple family and purchase controls where appropriate.

Network, content, hosting, and platform providers may process technical information in multiple countries according to their own privacy policies and the infrastructure used to provide their services.

You can:

• Revoke location or notification permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete local records through available in-app controls or remove the app.
• Cancel subscriptions in Apple Account subscription settings.
• Contact support with privacy questions.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of information Salam Time may hold.

Because Salam Time does not use accounts and most personal information is kept on your device, Salam Time may have little or no server-held personal information that can be accessed, corrected, or deleted.

Salam Time does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights. Contact support@salamtime.app to make an applicable request. Salam Time may need enough information to understand and lawfully respond to the request.

This policy may be updated as Salam Time, its providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected through an updated effective date on this page.
